Four men stabbed in Abercorn Square in Strabane

Four men have been stabbed in the Abercorn Square area of Strabane on Thursday night.

Police said a large number of people were involved in a disturbance outside a bar in the area at about 2130 GMT.
Two of the men are believed to be in a serious but not life-threatening condition in hospital. Police have appealed for information.
SDLP councillor Eugene McMenamin said there had been a festive mood and the incident happened "out of the blue".
"There has never been a knife culture in the area. As long as I have been an elected representative, I have never experienced such an incident," he added.
"People in the town are totally shocked this morning because this does not fit in with the town they know or what they experienced when they were out at St Patrick's Day festivities."
